Hi,
I think that it would be intersting to add the multi currency support in the new version, did someone have the same point of view.

very important request!
i would be willing to lead a working party to develop a functional spec for what we need in vtiger. if we can then get some agreement on this, we can push on toward a technical spec of the changes need. at this point it's just coding...... <!-- s:-) --><img src="{smilies_path}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":-)" title="smile" /><!-- s:-) -->
i am happy to kick this off but i am unsure about the protocols and normal ways of working to do this piece of work. do i just start it off and invite interested parties to contribute ?
advice gratefully received.
all the best
anthony
thanks for coming forward to fine tune our currency support.
currently we are supporting multi-currency on per user basis. the work flow is as given below:
1. go to settings -->currencies --> add currencies (currency name, iso code, symbol, conversion rate, active/inactive)
ps: currency conversion rate is very important field. otherwise your reports will show wrong results.
2. go to user details page and select the currency from currency field.
3. now, user can use the selected currency for his/her potentials, quotes, orders, and invoices.
4. when admin creates a sales reports, amount will be shown in base currency.
please do share your views on the current currency support. also you can extend your development contributions directly to the vtiger core team as this is going to be a common requirement for all.

gopal
the currency exchange rate table must also have a date within it (normally called the "effective date"). this is the date from which the particular exchange rate is effected.
these are big changes and will require designing at the functional level and then later at the technical level. this is what my posting wishes to promote. i am willing to lead this effort but i am not sure what the protocols are in getting together a team of volunteers to do this.
hope this clarifies my position.
best regards,
anthony
currently multi currency support is not available in vtiger crm. to include this option, you need to do code level changes in related files.
kindly let me know, if you are interested to take custom programming services.
thanks & regards,
