I tried to delete a contact with related tickets.
The result is strange (for me):
1 - The delete contact is no longer present in the contact list
2 - The "Related to" field in the ticket associate with "delete contact" are set to Blank
3 - The record in the vtiger_contactdetails (and related tables) aren't deleted.
4 - The record in the vtiger_protalinfo isn't deleted
My questions are:
a - Which is the reason to set "Related To" field to blank ?
In this way, the ticket remains without a relationship
b - If contact data are not more used (I can't undelete It), why the records in various tables are marked like deleleted and not really deleted ?
c - How the contact is marked like delete ? which is tha field and table used to make this action ?
d - If multiple contacts use the same email, how the customer portal choice the rigth one, when an user logs in the portal ?
Email ID is the same for more users and there isn't in the login page, another field that permit to select the rigth one.
I tried and it seems that the login works correctly, but how do "customer portal" to select the correct user
(If to make the rigth choice is used the password, it's a very rare case, but if the two users (father and son) can be use the same, than in this case I can't choice the rigth one user)
I'm a little bit confused, please someone can explain me better how the vTiger and Customer portal work ?
For me this is a strange behaviour.
