Description visible for History and Notes in Acc/Cnts

Hi team
Armando has just added a new enhancement so that the description of History and Notes are visible right under the title/subject (see picture).
We have been asked a lot for this enhancement. So here it is.

BTW: The changed files are taken from Patch1 release of 4.2GA. For installing, just replace the respective files with the one in the zip file.

Let me know your views.

  • fredy,

it didn't work for me: when i installed it, no notes were visible from the account screen. no panic though: i rolled back to the original.

    best, david.
  • i just tried to reproduce your problem. but it works perfectly here.
did you applied the patch1 before this one?
on which version of vtiger did you installed it? which mysql version do you have?

    regards fredy
  • hi fredy,

i haven't tried your extension, but i think it creates a good overview for history etc.
is there a chance to change the status using a button: history: details (for show and hide).
i am still facing the problem to have an endless and complex list of history, emails, sales qoutes etc. for a person or a company.
isn't there a possibility to have some sort of tabs with potentials, emails, etc.
    any ideas?

    regards martin

we have already a solution on this. i just need to post it <!-- s;) --><img src="{smilies_path}/icon_wink.gif" alt=";)" title="wink" /><!-- s;) -->. i'll do this at monday. this new feature makes the related tables scrollable.

for this we have also a solution. we made for each of the related tables a tab. i'll post it also at monday.

in the meantime i wish you a nice weekend

  • dear fredy,

we tried to integrate the patch which you've provided for displaying the description of history and notes under the title/subject. after the integration of patch, 'notes' are not displayed in the 'relatedlist' of 'accounts'.

we would like to integrate this into the product. could you please make the needed changes to vtigercrm4.2ga patch1 and revert back to us?

    thanks & regards,
    jaguar
  • nice work fredy, this works for me, and it' great!

we found the small bug and corrected it. attached is the updated zip file. please try it and give me an acknowledgement if it works.

  • hi fredy and others

do you not think this would be good to do for the emails section as well? i tend to find the emails section very confusing because you can't tell from the table if it is an email sent or received plus when there are lots of replies you just get the subject repreated with re: at the front, not very infomrative!

    regards

  • hi
we have just enhanced the history and note/attachements view again a little bit (see picture). the new files are now compatible with 4.2 patch 2.

    installation is easy:
unzip the files into the respective directory in your vtiger installation.
but don't forget to backup the original files.

give it a try and let me know if it is usable.

    kind regards fredy
