Hello,
I have had a look at the CRM and I must say I am very impressed. It is very easy to install on Windows XP, it configures everything manually, this is really good.

What I would like to know, is how easy is it to make it make it work on IIS. I already some PHP pages running on IIS so I guess it just a matter of making a Virtual Directory and pointing it to The index.php file , right ?

The only reason I want to do this, is that I have a webserver running IIS and I am hosting some applications on this already that some people are using.

Has anyone had any any experiences in doing this before ?

Thanks

Chris "Tegwin"

If you are already configured PHP on IIS, it is very easy to run vtiger CRM except few configurations changes, which are available in Installing vtiger CRM 3.0.1 in Microsoft IIS 5 document. We have completed some initial testing in IIS 5, and vtiger CRM is working fine. Please download the latest source zip from sf.net:

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/vtigercrm/vtiger_CRM_3_0_Source.zip?download

We have come up with an installation procedure document (Please see the attachment), helps users to run vtiger CRM in IIS.

Please get back to us if you face any issues while working with vtiger CRM in IIS, so that we can provide a better installer in future release.

Thanks in advance,

Gopal

Hi Gopal,
I tried your product. Works well under Apache, but IIS is having some problems, and I can't figure out. If I just download the sources from your site and follow the steps for IIS install it will setup itself fine, but after login there are several problems. Mainly things like: variable defined multiple times. In accounts in detailView.PHP on line 55 the interpreter doesn't like your way of displaying the currency symbol. There were several issues under the message board. Also either undefined or multiple definitions of variables. If you guys could come up with a nice method of install for IIS it would have been great! Some of the errors:

On the login page:
Notice: Constant IN_PHPBB already defined in E:\sales2\modules\MessageBoard\extension.inc on line 14

Notice: Constant IN_PHPBB already defined in E:\sales2\modules\MessageBoard\extension.inc on line 14

Notice: Constant IN_PHPBB already defined in E:\sales2\modules\MessageBoard\common.php on line 23

Thanks,
L

Hi Gopal,

I'll try my best to send you comments/ideas on IIS problems. I'm not a PHP guy, actually never looked at it before until I downloaded vTiger. I think I will start looking into your PHP code. Also, are there specs for the outlook plugin? We would like to redistribute it to our users with our logo during install.

Thanks,
Luke
