multible customerportals?

We want to make multible customerportals with different look-and-feel's , my questions is how are the dependencys of the portals for the crm-system.
should it be possible to copy the portals and modify the "new ticket"-function for each of them? or maybe is it possible to make just another loginpage for each "new ticket" function in that same portal directory?
im experienced with php/mysql programming, also with changes at the crm-system so if u ppl know technical informations how to change this, i would like to know them <!-- s:) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_smile.gif" alt=":)" title="Smile" /><!-- s:) -->
