Hi all,
After installation of vT 4.2.4 I am concerned how none of the documentation available (I even paid the $5 for the .pdf manual to print out) talks about what to do with files like install.php or any other of the install specific files that shouldn't be around when you are done.
*Some* directories will need to be chmod'd, some files deleted, all in the name of security...yet, I find no mention of anything. I made install.php unreadable, but I would feel a lot better if someone could point out a specific guide to which files should no longer remain.
Other than that, this being my first post and first day with vTiger, install was a breeze and things are smooth and silk so far...always a good sign. It looks like I will be using it for a long time to come, and only hope that money I spent on the manual will include updates ;¬)
::note::
This is running on a Debian shared hosting server, using PHP 4.x (5.x wasn't showing graphs) and happy versions of Apache and MySQL. |
