vTiger 4.2.x Code clean up

Ok, this issue is werry hot and it affects all programers occupied with vTiger code. There are many coders that lots of time to figure it out which peace of the code is for what purpose and which peace of the code if unusable.
Most of the time coders are searching the right line that does unwanted processing or unwanted html.

What is the issue?

There should be a plan to recode vTiger to have clean readable code.
My plan is to recode vTiger in stages, within the small group of 10 to 20 coders, online, within vTiger community or other.

Ok, post what is in your mind what shoud be reasonable next step.

I don't think code clean up should be attempted for 4.2.x

There are too many people with too many customizations to their code base who wish to upgrade along the 4.2.x branch. This was the whole point in continuing to maintain 4.2 so that these people would have a simple upgrade path.

If you reformat the code then it becomes virtually impossible for user customizations to survive an upgrade.

My idea is that it would be easly upgraded patch if code is preconfigured (cleaned and prepared) to suit the new patches. Yes these patches need some changes but than again what is perfect.

I agree to all. But what if there is code cleaned upon the all latest patch upgrade?

I think that if code would be cleaned and planed for to be upgraded with features then ight work.
