Hi All,
We are pleased to announce the release of vtigerCRM 5.0.0 RC. In this release we have mainly focussed on fixing the bugs reported in the previous beta releases. We have also made a new theme called woodspice. Security support is done for the Calendar.
You can have a feel of Release Candidate in the demo updated at http://en.vtiger.com/

We have updated our German Demo at https://vtigercrm5x.at.crm-now.de/ to the RC Release. You may also download the German language files from there or from http://vtigerforge.fosslabs.com/frs/shownotes.php?release_id=42

| Is there a safe way already to update to this RC from 4.2.4 or should I get a completly new install... |

Hello,
Sorry, there will not be any upgrade path from RC to GA. Also, v5 business logic doesn't support MySQL version 4.0.x. You are recomended to upgrade MySQL version to 4.1.x or above. It is better to use MySQL 5.0.x.
