Hi,

I just installed Vtiger 4.2 with patch 2 and installed the German ge_ch too.
Unfortunately, vtiger does only fit in the window of my browser (Mozilla 1.5, 1024x768) using the US English translation. With the ge_ch or the ge_de translation, vtiger needs scrollbars to scroll approx. 120px to the right. What could be done? Buying a new monitor? :wink: Making changes in the language files?

Florian,
in any case you should upgrade to 4.2.3.
The apperance of the scrollbar could be caused by the language file or by the theme. First you should check out other themes. Then you may could make adjustments to the theme (size of the screen) or to the language files (long words).

If it still does not work, your idea of a new monitor sounds resonable. ;-)

I gave up trying an update to 4.2.3 because I did not find an "update" file at vtiger.com in a reasonable timeframe. Are there "updates" or is the 45MB all inclusive file the only way?

To get started my actual work, I just shortened parts of the translation, e.g. "potentials" in English is now "Potentiale" in German and not "Verkaufspotentiale", as it was translated before. Getting rid of a third to a half of characters by finding shorter words, vtiger fits again.

Yes, you should upgrade to 4.2.3 to be ready for the v5.0 migration. Search the forum for instructions.
