Is the customer portal section included in v5beta2 ? I have created contacts added as a portal user. Vtiger send the email to contact with customer portal login information, but the link is invalid.
http://mywebsite.com/customerportal/cp_index.php
I do not see a customerportal folder in the vtiger directory. Please advise.
Thanks

Hi Otis,
We do have Customer portal for v5 version similar to v4.2.x. For testing purpose, you can check out the latest Portal source code from SVN:
http://vtiger.fosslabs.com/cgi-bin/trac.cgi/browser/customerportal
I have not yet provided user manual for v5 - customer portal, which will be ready by GA release.
Thanks,

Thanks! After review, I think I will wait till the final stable release. I assume that it will be built in by then. I like what I see in B5 as I have been testing it for at least 2 months, except the email, since I cant get it to work with our imap server, so I hope that can be resolved b4 the stable release.
Anyway, thanks again and Vtiger Looks good and thank you for the product!

Hi Otis,
If your time permits, please verify Customer Portal add-on before GA release so that it will be very helpful for us, releasing a stable version for vtiger community.
Thanks,

I've given this a quick test and have no trouble connecting or creating tickets.
I noticed that the product doesn't pass through to the ticket (#1755) even when typed exactly right. I think you should be able to pick from a drop down list of products with valid support periods.
All tickets raised seem to default to admin as the owner. My opinion is they should default to the product handler, and if no product is selected then to the owner of module helpdesk.
Which brings me to (what I think is) the limited value of having module on the portal ticket entry. It doesn't seem to be on the ticket and it doesn't assign ticket based on module owner. What does it do? In fact I can't think of an eventuality where the module is not product.
I notice you can now view FAQs while logged on whcih is a step forward but I think the product list could be limited to products with FAQs attached.
Looking good.
Andrew. |
