hi all,

here is a small contribution to set up Terms & conditions from General Settings and use them in Quotes, Sale Orders and Invoices.

My vtiger version is from a 4.2.3 , should work with 4.2.4 (not tested)

instructions :
unzip the pack in your Apache root where the vtiger root should be "vtiger_crm".

type the url http://<your vtiger web site>/TermCondition_Patch_DB_Changes.php in your browser to modify the database.

a terms & conditions configuration item should appear at the bottom in the general setting menu
terms & conditions modified in the setting menu should appear in any new quotes, sale orders or invoices. except for invoices and sale orders created from quotes, where terms and conditions remain the same as it has been set up in quotes.

I think this is a great improvement and would like to see it added to the main release of vtiger.

P.S I haven't installed this on my site but if it doesn't have the feature of enabling the terms and conditions to apply to different areas (Quotes, invoices and estimates)

I think, Terms & Condition template feature is already available in v5 beta. May be our v4.2.4 maintainer has to integrate this feature in v4.2.x branch. Please post your contribution in developer mailing list.

You mention that "the vtiger root should be "vtiger_crm". " since we dont have it like this here, would it work or what should we change?

it means that
you could copy all unzipped files from the 'viger_crm' directory into your vtiger root without changes , as well .
