We are trying to install the EditFieldBlock....without much success.

We have installed VIP 0.93 but when we try to install EditFieldBlock-r4.zip nothing appears in VIP. Are we supposed to install something before trying to instal EditFieldBlock?

We managed to get EditFieldOrdering.vip file to appear in the install module pain but it errored when we tried to install.

We are also confused regarding EditFieldSort, EditFieldOrdering and EditFieldBlock....are they all the same thing with name changes or completely different modules?

Are these modules still being supported/developed?

Hello,

We have not yet integrated EditFieldBlocks and VIP patches contributed by Mike Crowe in v5 branch, due to front-end has been ported to Smarty template engine and there are no sufficient resources to take up additional modules other than core functions available in v4.2.x.

We will add these features to main branch post v5 GA. Kindly bear with us in the meantime. By the way, could you please let me know, whether you have integrated these patches with v4.2.x build or v5.x?

We are still using vTiger 4.2.4 as it is production site and we were under the impression that v5 is not ready for production sites.

While we have VIP etc installed, we are still tworking on adding additional blocks.
