Polish version of Vtiger 4.2.x.

Hi,

We are currently testing Vtiger in version 4.2.3 and we intend to make the pilot installation in our company. We noticed that in many areas the translation is not complete what cause that some CRM items are totally not clear for sales staff. We are ready to keep an eye on current translation and finally provide the results back to both forums: international and Polish one.

Our translation went much further ahead the version available on the web, but in some places we couldn’t find all places in code and database where change must be inserted. For example we had problem with translation the Activity “Type” and “Status” . We thought that we found all places where terms (Call, Task, Meeting and its statuses) were used, but after translation activity items have stopped to be displayed in some views and after task update wrong (English) status was inserted.

Could you direct us where the necessary changes ware missing? If you have the general rules of making localization it would be useful to receive them to perform translation according to commonly used standards.

Be careful when translating hard coded terms. There are many instances where the software will not work anymore. In cases such as you have described pieces of software must be rewritten. There are no general rules for it but you may refer to http://forums.vtiger.com/viewtopic.php?t=5773&highlight=translate .
