Hi,

I created email templates by going to Settings/Communication Templates/Email Templates.

I selected the Available Merge Fields to include in the Email Body. However, when I try to send emails and select this template, the selected Merged Fields do not appear, they are blank.

Am I missing somothing when creating the template?
Do I need to install ActiveX?

I think this has something to do with the office plug in.

I specifically remember reading this in the user guide that to use the mail merge feature, you need to link it with an office template.

The only way to do this is to use the vtiger office plug in.

I've never used this yet, but I know this is the way. When I get there, i'll be experimenting.

hopefully, someone out there who's done it can enlighten us more on usage.
