Note mechanism is very useful in CRM system. Notes assigned to contacts and accounts should be visible to most of sales in the company. Therefore it would valuable to know who is the author of each of them. Unfortunately there is no automatic signing mechanism and it is not possible to add additional field to it.
Does anyone has good idea how to sign each note not placing sign in the subject.

Using tasks could be really the solution as Brian said in other case to jpattoncook.
Then really task history would replace the series of notes assigned to contact or account.
However, I can see only the latest state of the task and don't know how to monitor task statuses changes in the past
Would anyone explain me how to view task history?
