Hello!

The mode of internationalization for the vtiger CRM 5 will be the same as done in the previous releases.
We will not be implementing the gettext method as of this release due to technical and logistical issues.

We are working on removal of all the hard-coded strings so that the product is customizable.
We will soon be requesting help for testing the language packs.

Any new language packs are most welcome.

Hi Richie,
I am working on the Dutch pack for vTiger 5.
If you need help for testing I am happy to do so.

Hi!

Very nice of you to respond so quickly.
Yes, we do need help.
We hope to finish off removing the hard-coded strings by tomorrow night India time.
You could take the code base from the svn and try testing from the day-after-tomorrow please and let us know if we still have some issues left.

Ideally, I would like v5 to go with full i18n support for Beta itself.

Please publish a template when you are ready. That will make it easier for contributors than collecting everything from the SVN

Hi!

I am not clear about the template part. Kindly elaborate.

Most of the hard-coded strings have been removed from the system.
All translators are requested to have a go at the product and test if all the language translations are working properly.
There will be issues, but, we will fix them too.

OK, but where can I get the files?
You were refering to the svn, but that did not sound very good :)

I just noticed that some language files have been changed today at the SNV after your posting. (modules include and custom view). So it is appropriate to say that the community should wait until you have released Beta?

Hi guest,
the community (and all translators) can also help the team to find all the harcoded strings and to move them on lang files.
This is a boring job, but now we have to support the tea, and to congratulate for the incredible effort made on vtiger crm flavour 5.
And you can register to developper mailing list, like this you can see the change proposed to the team.
If all translators help on two modules, the job is finished for this week-end and you can have the pleasure to see v5 full on your own language.

Hi, I just check last csv and changes what was made for language files. Great work. I watch custom_view language files:

...
'Sales Start Date'=>'Sales Start Date',
'Sales End Date'=>'Sales End Date',
'Support Start Date'=>'Support Start Date',
...

have you dropped Support end data or only forget to add it.

Sincerely

Karri

Hi Karri,

Thanks for notifying the issue.

We had missed adding Suport Expiry Date in the custom view language file for product module.

The same has been added and updated.
