Hi Team,
I dared to use the lang. pack on an 4.2.3 installation. So far I didn't discover big problems. But in some forms translations aren't completed or form descriptions are not available.
Attached you find two 'screenshots' (different screens pasted into one) of 'new contact' and 'new potential'. The views for existing contacts etc. look similar.
How can these descriptions be completed/added? Is anybody working on it?
Please let me know, I'm willing to help.
Sincerely,
hvh |

These values aren't in the language files.
You have to change them under 'Settings' - 'Picklist Settings' |

This is easy and can be done by yourself.
Just go to Einstellungen, Studio, Auswahllisten and then to any of the fields you want to change, and translate the positions.
Thatīs it.

Whew, that was quick!
Thanks a lot, I'll fight my way through the picklists.
But how about the adress area? Any recommendations for these (red marked area)?

Hi hvh,
be carefull on translating these picklist-entrys, otherwise you loose functionality in the application. Reason is that some of the values are hardcoded in the sources (often discussed in other topics here on the board).
I'm just in the process to evaluate where a translation affects functionality.

| Well, you may check the demo available at http://www.vtiger-deutschland.de/ There we have translated everything to German. Unfortunately it was a very time consuming task. As far I can see it by now the v5.0 will make language translations much easier. |
