When I read the posting for volunteers for vTiger's theme, it got my attention. But after looking through the wikis and other vTiger documentation, I did not come across vTiger's theme architecture.
The only way I see it to be able to learn is to look at the existing themes and sort of reverse engineer from them. Not that its not doable, but it would definately benefit a larger audience if they get a head start on this. This might also increase the developer base rapidly.
I would really appreciate if somebody can point me to some text related to this. Otherwise, it is a good idea to take some time and lay out how themes really work in vTiger.
I have studied Smarty templates in PHP and I am curious to know if vTiger's themes are derived from them?

Hi Bikerdude,
Currently vtiger has no theme guides to aid theme developments by developers/users. But for v5, we will be coming up with a theme guide. Join our developers mailing list to take part in theme developments. |
