Portal Login 500 Internal Server error on v5.0.3

We have been running an installation of vTiger 5.0.3 for a few months now without issue.

In the past few days we have attempted to install the Customer Portal v5.0.3 module.

Mail is setup and working, and the contact receives their portal login details when granted access to the portal.

However, when trying to login to the portal, the attached error is received.


The server is running PHP 5.2.5 - we have installed the PHP 5.2 patch (vtigerCRM-5.0.3-PHP5.2-Patch1.tar.gz), to no avail.

Could anyone please offer some assistance in getting this working?

this was hardest to debug .. I got this problem if table 'vtiger_soapservice' not exist in dbase (after upgrading vTiger - migration script not check/create this table, but it is in DatabaseSchema.xml ). Manual table creation solve problem.
