Hi,

First of all, excuse me if it's not the good category to post this kind of stuff, but I didn't find any that fits better.

So, I'm working at SmartJog, as internship, and I had to choose/test and assist people in the use of a CRM. We're playing with vtiger at the moment, it fits our needs, but we had a little disappointment, regarding emails templates.

We'd like to be able to send a mail to a contact, and in the body of the message, refer to it's company name (i.e. the accountname). Currently (with current vtiger svn 5.1.0), it's not supported, because there's a switch() selecting the parent type (account, contact, etc.)

My proposal is that for Contacts and Leads, we should be able to refer to Account's fields.

I made a preliminary patch, allowing this to work, only when sending for a contact.

I'll made something much generic later. Anyway, I think it mmight help other people even at this state.

Okay, Leads seems not to be connected to any Accounts :)

Yet, I cleaned/factorized up thingsn here it is.
