Hi all,
I'm a vtiger newbie looking to be convinced I should ditch any plans to use SugarCRM CE.
So far, vTiger seems the go ... she's lookin' good (Vern)
Hope to spend more time here !
Cheers,
Brad |

Hi James
Another Aussie here - really looking forward to utilising vTiger for a little business idea, but then looked at your sig! :(
Anyway, clicked on it and received this error message:
Site error: the file /var/www/sites/vps.sitek.com.au/whmcs/cart.php requires the ionCube PHP Loader ioncube_loader_lin_5.2.so to be installed by the site administrator.
Oops!
Cheers
Brad

Hi Brad
(From another Brad... )
Yep I like vTiger too.
Have had a look at Sugar, but there's something about vTiger that I like.
I haven't had a complete play with it yet, but on the surface, vTiger seems "better" (unqualified term).
Anyway, hope to see you on the forums.
Cheers

Hey Brad,
Yeah, vTiger has a more complete feel for this budding SMB user I agree.
And the Sugar stuff you have to source extra (at cost), like Office & mail client plugins, are bundled with vTiger, which is a real bonus.
Nothing wrong with SugarCRM, but I feel it's a bit more attention-deficit in terms of effort you need to put into it to get a complete solution, especially if you're a small/startup business with limited resources.
Mind you, Sugar also has a very active community behind it, larger and more diverse I feel than vTiger, so it's not out of the running by any means. (I know this will probably start a flame war, but that's my opinion so far fwiw)
Now, if only I could get the dang vTiger portal working I might be able to get this into a real trial ... http://forums.vtiger.com/viewtopic.php?t=20775 ... you seen this at all by any chance ?
Hope you enjoy vTiger Brad, it's pretty darn good :D
