|
|
Hi Team,
I am trying to understand the relationships of Groups, Profiles and Access settings in vTiger.
I want to limit access for some users to the leads details; allowing the users to edit Lead detail, but not the delete function; add an event; send an email to the lead specified email address.
I do not want these users to have access to the other modules or 'Settings '
Any help is appreciated
Cheers

Hi Bernard,
To allow a user to only edit a lead and can not delete leads,You can disable that in the Profile level, where three options are there create/edit,view and delete option, remove the delete option, users related to to that profile can not able to delete any lead, only they can view it and edit it,
In profile level calendar option will be there, you can disable the create/edit option and the user can not able to create an event, similarly you can disable the Email option in Profile level and the user can not able to send mail to any body.
to remove the settings module for a user you should not give the admin option while creating a user.by default it will be disable.
The relation between Groups and sharing access is that ,in sharing access you can make any module private and then the other users whose role is below your role can not able to see your records, and there also you can add rule for any module where you can give the access to other user to see /edit/read only option for your record, you can do this for one user by selecting any one role or you can put no . of users to one group and can apply rule for them.
Regards,
Pratim
