I have downloaded vTiger and will be using it to administer my part time sales training and CRM training role. I run a small business as a sales trainer to train sales staff and sales managers, which include the use of CRM systems and business process systems. I have previously used ACT, Goldmine (qualified administrator), Siebel, FourthShift, JDE and PeopleSoft. I find vTiger a great tool, it works pretty well out of the box, easy to install and customise and in addition it looks great and is easy to use.
There will be a few issues of course as I get to know the software but at this time it would be my intention to discuss vTiger with my students as an example of how good an open source system can be.
