I am not a hot programmer, just a working guy who likes to use vtiger for my business.
One problem is the lack of easy backup capability.
I believe that it would be a great plus if there was a way to implement a simple one button backup function in vtiger, rather than having to work with PhpMyAdmin and other programs, try to figure them out, test them, etc.
The backup fuinction would make vtiger much more comfortable.
Thanks very much for your past support.

Hi Les,
vtiger 5.0.4 supports taking backup of database via FTP. Hope you had a chance to look at Settings > Backup Server. We will be enhancing this feature going forward.

Prasad,
I saw that feature but did not know how to implement it since the vtiger, Apache etc. is on my local machine and I don't have anywhere to ftp to.
Can I just ftp to a file on my local machine then burn a CD of that file?
Thanks for your help. I really appreciate all the help you have been and how quickly you get back to us.
