Hello,
I would like the calendar to be improved, because right now I find it hard to use, very crowded and confusing. One of the big disadvantages of using vtiger right now, in my opinion.
A good example is the calendar of egroupware (see attachement) and of course google calendar.
My main improvement suggestions are:
- Make it a lot smaller, so one can see a whole calendar week on one screen without having to scroll (see attachement)
- Get rid of all the nested tabs / file cards to save space, put them into drop-downs
- Have the possibility to display the calendar on the starting screen of vtiger (e.g. instead of the Dashboard)
- Have a small calendar to quick-jump to special days/weeks/months and the possibility to put this calendar on the starting screen of vtiger in a box on the right. Make this calendar possibly stay on the calendar screen. (not only pop-up)
- Get rid of all the fuzzy design in the calendar, make it straight, simple, clear and usable
- Use ajax to drag'n'drop the entries, to change the duration of them and to jump between dates/weeks in calendar (when using these buttons: -->): See google calendar
- Enlarge the "plus" button to add an event
- There's other events than only calls or meetings (make the events categories editable in settings)
- Have the possibility to manage ones todos in an own navigation point, just like webmail, calendar etc. (name: my todos). In this screen, have different tabs to view: open todos (after starting date, before due date), done todos (marked done, defaultly sorted by done date), upcoming todos (before start date). Possibility to mark a todo done with one click.
- Have the possility to put the next upcoming x number of todos on ones starting screen of vtiger in a box. While each user should be able to select the number x
- Have the possility to put the upcoming dates/events (either for the next x days, or a number x of the next x upcoming) of a user/or all in a box on the starting screen. A user should be able to define x
Keep up the great work!
