first of all: congrats for the good work!! vtiger is remarkable piece of software.
I have trouble replacing variables in emails with values from vtiger database.
Created a new email template and used
"Hello $leads-salutation$ $leads-lastname$,"
in the email text.
Sending email to a lead i would expect vtiger to replace
the variables with the values from the database. but it does not!
Using variables from contacts e.g. $contacts-salutation$ do not get replaced either.
what am i doing wrong?
Installed is vtiger v5.0.4.
thanks for your help!

Hi,
Email templates should not have mix of variables from different modules.
If the email template has variables related to leads module, the values will be replaced only when it is used with leads record. If same email template is used with contacts record the variables will not be replaced.
Regards,
Prasad

I tried both either lead or contact-variables but did NOT mix them.
Neither one was replaced using "send email" in leads section. |

Is nobody using "send email" with variables in email-text in leads section?
The replacement of "$leads-salutation$ $leads-lastname$" is not working for me - does anyone else have this kind of problem?
Does anyone have an e-mail template that actually replaces the variables?
Thanks for your help!! |
