|

I thought this would be a very common topic, but all my searching has found nothing.
I support two installations of vTiger 5.0.3 and I'd be interested in upgrading them to 5.0.4 to get all the bug fixes and make use of the new features. The release notes do give an upgrade procedure, but it's pretty rudimentary. However, I have tried to follow the procedure in a couple of ways:
Method 1
Stop vTiger
Copy Patch4 files and overwrite existing files under vtigercrm5\apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM
Start vTiger
Error - vTiger won't start using the exising batch files.
Method 2
Leave vTiger running
Copy Patch4 files and overwrite existing files under vtigercrm5\apache\htdocs\vtigerCRM
Navigate to Settings --> Other Settings --> Migration Wizard
Error - Can't navigate to that page, all pages within vTiger now fail
Luckily I run vTiger under VMWare virtual machines so I can use snapshots to get back to before the upgrade within a few seconds. So I'm now back to 5.0.3, wondering how I get to 5.0.4.
Any help much appreciated.

Thanks Varma, that looks pretty straight forward, apart from the first bit!
Could you confirm what the following line means?
Please remove, 'STRICT_TRANS_TABLES' from the 'SQL MODE'. Otherwise, you may face issues with saving data.
Cheers,

Hi Nick,
Please refer to this:

With this, you may get an idea of what sql_mode is and how to set it. |
