Hi all!
I am an IT Manager for a medium sized company in TN. I have about 126 employees on the network. We use as much "Linux stuff" as possible. I am looking at V-Tiger CRM right now. I believe it is going to work for me but am still testing it. My biggest hurdle is to make sure that everything works with everything else - i.e. my email system for one.
I have a mix of Open Source and Commercial email software in my environment - the Open Source is Postfix/Cyrus IMAP and the commercial is Outlook (2000-2007). I purchased the Open Source as a bundle from a company called Bynari (Insight Server) several years ago and am pretty pleased with it. Previously, I had Exchange. The big "hurdle" I am working through is the MAPI connector (Insight Connector) they have. So far, it seems to talk very well with V-Tiger - no problems thus far. I "must" have the bynari connector because we use shared calendars and contacts on my network and that is the only reliable piece of software I have found to give me that.
Are there any others that have gone through this evaluation process with your mail server and client-side software? What things should I be looking for, as far as compatibility is concerned?
Any feedback is helpful. |
