Hi
I am trying to use the standard binary install, but it fails.
I see on the screen:
****************************************************
Apache 2.0.52 installed successfully
****************************************************
*******************Error***************************
Error while installing GD 2.0.33. Quitting Setup ...
****************************************************
When I look at the log file, I don't see anything I understand. I'm a bit of beginner with Linux, so please let me know if I need to give more detail - systems etc.
I have tried it on SME Server (version 7.3) CentOS 4.6 based system, and on Strongbolt (also CentOS) based, but for the RAQ series of internet appliances.
I would ideally like to get it installed on the RAQ becuase it has a very low power use, and it is also pôwering our web and e-mail. |

OK -update on the situation.
Found some help on the CentOS site, installed some extra packages.
I get a bit further but install still fails.
Now I get:
****************************************************
Apache 2.0.52 installed successfully
****************************************************
****************************************************
GD 2.0.33 Installed successfully
****************************************************
compiling imap c-files
****************Error******************************
Error while installing imap-2001. Quitting setup ...
******************************************************
Warning: bad syntax, perhaps a bogus '-'? See /usr/share/doc/procps-3.2.3/FAQ
I don't see anything useful in this FAQ (but then I don't understand it!
Can anyone help? |

Hi,
Before installing vtigercrm504.bin you should install all the below Libraries in centos operating system.
Developer Libraries Tools
Quote: libpng
libpng-devel
libjpeg
libjpeg-devel
freetype
freetype-devel
zlib
openssl
openssl-devel
make
krb5-devel
binutils
automake
gcc
flex
autoconf
bison
libxml2-devel
lynx
Hope this information will help you out to install vtigercrm504.bin in centos 5. |

Thanks for your reply.
I see from your post that you are a member of the vtiger team. While I understand that VTiger is made available and supported free of charge, I feel that taking three months to post a reply isn't a very good advertisement.
Unfortunately, due to the problem detailed in my post back in May - months ago - I gave up and am using an alternative package, which I downloaded and installed without problem. |
