I am set up with 5.0.4 version of vtiger, which included PHP, Apache and Mysql. My understanding was that the issue with php and ftp was fixed in that combined package. Nevertheless, I receive an error on the setup page for the backup server of:
Unable to connect "ftp://192.168.0.133"
I have verified that valid users on the backup server (ubuntu desktop 8.04) can access that server with various ftp clients. I have tried vsftpd and ProFTPD on the backup server. Still, I cannot connect to the backup from within Vtiger. |

| When you are entering the Server Address into the Backup Server Setup in vtiger, make sure you only type the IP address of the server no ftp:// on the front of it. |

| Thanks, omitting the protocol made it work just fine. I'd tried this before, but apparently something else was wrong at the time. |
