Hi,
I am trying this app to see if it will work out for us, one thing i found out is that it seems pretty slow. Its actually installed on a quad core 6600, with 4gb of ram, mysql, php5, apache2, postfix and courier-imap. Whenever i run the top command i can see that theres lots of resources but the web interface seems rather slow.
I have the server with no X enviroment and then a winbox with Firefox 2.0 they are both plug into one 10/100 switch, both PCs with gigabyte network cards.
I am not expecting the machines to fly but i have work with other apps run on LAMP and this seems a bit heavy, anybody feeling a bit the same about this??, whats your thoughts?
PS By the way, there not a lot of a community here i must admit, after reading about sugar and vtiger, i would expect more people cooperating in this forums but it actually looks the opposite. :-( |

Hi ingio,
Can you please compare the response time against our demo server, http://en.vtiger.com
The php and mysql configuration has an impact on vtiger performance. We are currently focusing on improving the response time of vtiger product on the whole.
Kindly be co-operative in sharing your observations with us.
Regards,
Prasad

hi prasad,
well my php and mysql installation is the one that comes by default with debian etch 4.0 r3. That is apt get...; plus the modifications necessary to run vtiger.
Its a dedicated machine and as i say very powerful, theres only one client connected, and it runs just as quick as your demo site or even slower sometimes. Just browsing through sections for example.
But to be honest its kind of always the same performance, i mean it doesnt do some things quicker than others, which is ok i suppose.
thanks |

| If you don't need the log file, then comment out all the lines in log4php.properties file located in vtigerCRM folder |
