Hi,
Has anyone been able to get the 3rd party Project Module working correctly?
The 'add workers' button and the 'add ticket' button do not work.
In IE it gives a non-descript error when clicked and in FF simply nothing happens.
Anyone with any ideas?
My setup is:
MySQL 5.0.51
PHP 5.2.5 |

Can you share with us what you did to get to the point where you are now?
I am running the 5.0.4 and I can't get it to install correctly. I had to manually install the install.sql script in chunks because I was getting an error. I got the database piece done, then copied over the php5.1 directory to overwrite/path my tiger directory and I am dead in the water :-0
I reverted to the backup.
Going to see where the problems are and try to get this going. The projects module is so key. I am surprised there isn't more effort in this area. |

Hi,
I think you're problem is that you are trying to install into v5.04.
I installed into 5.03 with vtiger patch for use with PHP 5.2.
The module was created by different solutions - a germany company.
I have translated some messages from their forum and they say they are producing another version that will be compatible with vtiger 5.04.
I'm still waiting for an answer for this version to do with the 'add worker' button.
I do agree that a project (collaboration) module is so important. If Vtiger ends up with a fully functional project management module it will definitely be the no.1 total CRM - already it's more user-friendly than sugercrm but it feels like key ingredient is missing .... project module.
The only other project module was 'tsprojects' which looked great but sadly the owner didn't get a lot of co-operation from vtiger so he abandoned it.
There are instructions on how to create your own module and ironically they use 'projects' as an example but people are saying the instructions are incomplete - so I don't know where that leaves us.
Hope that helps? |

After scouring the forums I noticed a reference to clearing Smarty cache.
So after clearing the two directories below:
1) Cleared Smarty/cache
2) Cleared Smarty/templates_c
Logged out and then in again and was finally able to ADD WORKER and ADD TICKET to a PROJECT.
Hope this helps. |

Yes, 5.0.4. We are going to wait until they rollout the update. It would seem to me that vTiger (in order to remain superior to Sugar) would have this project module incorporated with their core product. I don't know the politics though so I will stay to the side and just put the question out there.
I want to think there is a great deal of interest in having a project module incorporated with the tiger.
Thanks
