We are an ISV company that offers Business Continuity and Business Intelligence software from different vendors and have chosen vTiger for CRM. During the implementation and testing we have encountered a major problem for us within marketing campaigns.

It is possible to ad Contacts and Leads trough list views in a campaign. Adding Potentials is only possible by adding them one at a time, first make a new one and then that one will be added. There is no list view to load Potentials although there are list views within Potentials themselves. This is also only possible when logged in as an admin. When logged in as a normal user Potentials are not shown within Campaign at all.
This seems very unwanted because Potentials are probably people you surely want to mail about a solution they are obviously interested in.

Is this a recognized problem? Is there a reason for the way Potentials appear in Campaigns?

We are thinking in developing a way to load Account, Leads and Potentials trough a loopback from reporting into campaigns. Basically one would generate a report (using product, invoice, purchase order or any information that is available within standard reporting) and use that report to ad this selection to a campaign.
Preferably this would be done within Vtiger so that end users can work with it butt using an SQL tool might do the trick too as it is very important to find a quick way to solve this issue. The only other option would be leaving vTiger.

We think this would not only solve the above described problem but also enhance vTiger functionality in a major way. Has anyone thought using reporting this way? Does this make sense? Where can a description of tables within mySQL for vtiger be found?

Any help is appreciated.

Kind Regards
