For example: my email is: helloword@gmail.com

so the login: helloword@gmail.com
and the password: helloword@gmail.com

is that correct?

I couldn't log in customer portal via LIVE DEMO. Yes. I created a contact email in admin panel for million times with portal enabled. I followed everything correctly.

I also installed vtigercrm503 on my local machine. I can't still log in. I went into "portalinfo" table. I saw my email ID and a generated password. I tried to use that password but still no luck.

BTW, what is the password for customer portal encrypted?

I think the password is automatically generated, and sent to you, but I'm trying now too to login, and not sure, I need again to find where to enable the portal login to my account-contact

I have creaed on the demo a new contact, and putting in it on the added information slide: customer portal enabled, and now this go:
id:newclick@email.it
pw:newclick@email.it

This is correct. When you check the Portal Field at the users edit view, the CRM system is generating an automatic email to the contacts email address with user name and password.
To get this work you need to edit two files:
- edit config.inc.php at the crm root directory and modify the custome portal location and the senders email address (eg. support@yourcompany.com)

-edit the PortalConfig.php at your customer portal loaction and modify the $Server_Path and $Authenticate_Path that it fits your configuration

By the way, the password is certainly not identical to the users email ID as posted previously.

anyway after this my translation in italian language, I wait for more easy files to translate all in italian language, I speak especially about text of emails, and soem bugs somewhere (for example on webmail of www.email.it I receive some strange errors and not good looking in emails text, probably because not good HTML code in emails..?)
