Hi what are the hardware requirements when running vtiger 5.0.3 for about 100 users?
Plus is better to run it from linux(which version) or windows (which version)
plus what is the best way to run vtiger ,having it hosted justlike a normal site or dedicating a server at the clients location and installing it there ,if the latter is more advisable how do u go about obtaining a private IP address for the server so that the users can browse vtiger from any location not just in the companies network
hope i was clear cheers :?: |

HI adrianqx,
These are the links that which will give information regarding the System Requirements to run vtiger in windows And Linux
Windows System Requirements Link :
http://wiki.vtiger.com/index.php/Vtiger_CRM_5.0.3_-_Installation_Manual_for_Windows#System_Requirements
Linux System Requirements Link :
http://wiki.vtiger.com/index.php/Vtiger_CRM_5.0.3_-_Installation_Manual_for_Linux#System_Requirements

You can host vtiger as a normal site. Not sure if you need a dedicated server just for vtiger.
It Is a good Idea to obtaining a private IP address for the server.so you can acess the vtiger from anywhere... |

I am not sure which platform is better to run vTiger, am sure thre are many posts in the forums.
To allow external access to an internally hosted vTiger installation you will need to obtain a static public IP from your ISP and NAT to the private internal address. I would however fully recommend putting a security device (firewall/IPS etc) in place for protection or use VPN's. |
