We have added required permission now, this should not re-appear on wip. Kindly let us know if it still persist.

I will test that soon. But if you please could check whats wrong with the wip for the moment. Try to add a new invoice by clicking at the "+" and and save it. After that the invoice are missing the invoice number. May be thats why it's gone??

I was trying to add a custom invoice number in the settings. Maybe that's reason for this error.

UTF-8 Invoice bugg Popup ok
Add a new invoice
-> use select to add a related Account Name
->pic one with a tricky name like åäöÅÄÖ
bug1.
Now you get the question where the popup ask you if you like to overwrite the existing invoice address with the new ones. The error is utf-8 presentation of the name in the pop up
-> press yes
bug2.
Back at the invoice view the selected name is wrong.

If I was you I wouldn't fix this at this time as it for sure creates many new bugs. I think its better to just make this release so bug free as possible with this level of UTF-8 support. And then make an 5.0.5 release with the rest and don't add any other new features then full UTF-8 support and bug fixes to that release.

Hi Johan,

Thank you for sharing your opinion on the fixes.

The utf-8 support was being made stable in vtiger 5.0.4, so it becomes
important we get more focus from community to test the support and file issues.

We are not planning to fix the issues as soon as it is reported, as pointed out, we are aware of the impact that can happen at other places.
After gathering all the issues, we can estimate the time frame that will take to fix them.

Hence we are requesting our community to help us in identify all those areas where UTF-8 support is missing.
I'm certainly happy to see the response with this :)

bug testing Analytics > Reports

bug/Feature request: Allow characters like this.
when: Next release.


2. Analytics > Dashboards The wip installation. Maybe some of the bugs bellow vanish if the wip is populated with more data the periods. But it's important to fix them any why. because The first impression last and this is one of the places in an crm where many decisions makers looks. And they also takes decisions if or not to use vtiger....

I Mostly focus on UTF-8 testing. I'm sorry if I report some bug that some one else already has reported.

On my own testing plan I have this areas left.
* Invoice testing (can't add new Invoices to the wip at the moment.)
* Install a clean vtiger installation on my own server.
Test webmail for utf-8 support
* make a test upgrade of my earlier 5.0.3 rc2 working vtiger installation.

You should be able to create the Invoice on wip now.

Creating Invoice was failing due to duplicate entry for InvoiceNo. We are try to analyze for the cause of this issue.

If you notice any other issues when using http://en.vtiger.com/wip

I have tried to do the same as I did last time and now it's all working.
What I did last time was that I entered the invoice custom prefix "åäöÅÄÖÜüßßÅÄÖ" in the settings and then went to the invoice view..
Now I have done the same but It's working :-) or maybe we we should we look like :-( depending on if the vtiger team have done some thing to solve it.


An other UTF-8 bug exist in the filters. It not possible to make an advance filter that has a rule that contains characters like åäöÅÄÖÜüßßÅÄÖ. If I search for customer names containing "å" I get an empty result set.
