I have seen a few threads suggesting integrating a different webmail client. I would like to suggest Zimbra, looks very promising.

Also for document management Alfresco. http://www.alfresco.org/

| Those are both JSP, which would not be along the lines of what most of us use. Looks like neat systems though. Zimbra seemed a little slow though. |

I think the OWL DMS project on sourceforge can be customized as a module to vtiger. It's based on php and mysql.
But it's pitty, some of the greatest programs are on JSP or Java technologies... |

OH MY GOD!
Zimbra looks beautiful! wow! if only Vtiger could take the ajax ability of Zimbra and put it into their calendar. That would be a show stopper right there.
Good Call! |

Zimbra only appears slow because the server tends to be loaded up a bit with people playing with the demo. I have set Zimbra up on my server to test it and it runs great.
I agree, vtiger would be great if it could intergrate ajax. Then it would rock :) |

Bump for interest.
Hope to keep this as a consideration for future versions. |

Yeah this would be way cool to see Zimbra-
It seems like it could be integrated in some sort of Wrapper with some simple plugs so to speak.
Anyways lets play with the idea a bit more...
Thanks all |

| Zimbra Rocks! I've used it for a while, would LOVE to intigrate it with vTiger -- that would also help compete with entities like SalesForce (which already provides Zimbra intigration t $35/month/user) |

we also use zimbra and would LOVE to have vtiger integration. Especially for keeping multiple single and shared calendars in sync, contacts and selecting which emails (from zimbra) to put into vtiger. many of our clients run on Mac OS and can not use the outlook plugin for vtiger.
Thanks |

I've used Zimbra for some time now, and I would really like to see it working with vtiger.
