We have some products that we want to set up that don't have a set inventory. Example - graphic design time. We want to set up a product id of "Design Time" which is 1/2 hour and we would charge $x for each 1/2 hour.

2 problems:

1) It becomes a problem as vtiger keeps wanting to deduct from some set amount of quantity on hand or quantity in stock. It is time - there is no quantity on hand. Don't tell me we are out of it, need to reorder, etc.

2) The product module doesn't like decimals. It won't let us set it up as .5 hours as the unit. It also won't let us put in 1 hour as the unit then put .5 in the quantity on the quote or invoice.

This seems like it would be a common issue. Any comments or suggestions?

I think there have been some threads and workarounds for this in one of the forums (5.0.3 help?). Sorry, don't remember where and when.

Yes, search the forums, both these probllems can be solved easily with some minor changes in the code that are in the wiki and on the forum.
