Hi all,
We are a Small Medium Enterprises group which consists of 2 companies. We use 3 vtiger(5.0.3) installations(and 3 databases) for the marketing and vendor management. We have a single authentication database in OpenLDAP to authenticate all the three instances of vtiger. We are facing some difficulty in maintaining and upgrading these three source trees. We are trying to merge the source trees into one so that it may be easy to maintain and upgrade. I have looked into some parts of the source code and has the following solution :
When the user access the login page, there will be an option(select box) to select the site which he wants to join.
On selecting the site, the system will switch to the appropriate database and the normal process will follow.
The databases configured will be included in an array in the config.inc.php and the current database configuration variables will be populated depending on the site selected by the user.

We are ready to work on this feature if this makes sense. Please let me know your views and opinions.

regards
