I just installed the Thunderbird plugin and tried to import my vtiger addresses.
Received the above error message.
Using vtiger 5.0.3, Thunderbird 2.0.0.6
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Thunderbird plug-in version is 5.0.3
I have about 1100 names in vtiger and about half of them have e-mail addresses.

Suddenly I got this error, too. I use vTiger 5.03 and the most recent Thunderbird plugin. When I want to add an email to vTiger CRM the search for contact is successful. But when I want to finally add the mail there is a message: "Error while receiving response from vtiger CRM server".
The plugin worked fine for more than two months, I don't know why I have such a problem now. I have already tried to uninstall and install the plugin, but the situation doesn't change.
I would be very thankful for every help, because the plugin is quite important to me. |

Hi Huangdi .
If there is any contacts with special character added in your vtigerCRM , then you will face this kinds of issue.

Thanks for the input. I found out that Open Office does not export csv files quite the same way that Excel does and that there is an extra character. Everything worked well once I used Excel.

Actually the contact had no special characters in his name. But the email had an attachment. I added this kind of emails before without a problem. After trying to add this email, other normal emails didn't work, too. However, after one hour the problem disappeared, so now everything works fine again.
Anyway, I would like to thank you for your support. Your CRM is great, it helps me a lot and I wish you all the best for the future. |
