Hi @ All
we plan to use vtiger for our serial numbers about a 1.000.000 a the moment an rising with about 20.000 a day.
do we have to set up a second vtiger just for the serial number.
we afraid of low performance with such a large number of entries in vtiger_crmentity.
any experience with very large number of entries?
Much Regards Malte |

Hi vitgerfan,
We have not tried our vtiger with such a large quantity that you have mentioned. However performance is going to be affected.
We have planned to look at performance optimization of vtiger as a whole but its going to take some time from us.
Would be nice if you can share your experience on performance and let us know more on it.
Regards,
Prasad |

Hi Prasad,
ok, to make it safe, i will set up a new installation just for the serail numbers and will let you know about the results.
as we do not need the Lead module i use it for the serial numbers at the moment.
i imported about 30.000 serials at the moment, at that time i thought if i would jam the complete system. is it possible to decouplet the lead module from the vtiger_crmentity. so the other modules would not be affected. but i think that this table is the backbone of the complete system
