Installed the MS Office Plug-In. Last step was an error message of:
RegDBCreateKeyEx failed.
Can anyone decipher this into what I need to do??? |

Hi ,
While installing MS Office there should be a folder in the registry
of MyComputer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Word\Addins
If there is no folder called Addins you will get this error.
Please get back to me If I am wrong. |

No, it doesn't exist.
Also, the structure is different. See attachment

hye bharath,
after installing word plugin i am not seeing vtiger icon in word.
my word is close when i am installing office plugin.
i can not see any thing in registry file under ADDIN FOLDER. |

shouldn't the installation program create these registry entries? Or are you suggesting there are missing dependencies??
Seems odd that only the symptoms are being discussed, and not any cures...
We have Office 2003 on WinXP - nothing out of the ordinary there, but we do not even have a "Word" entry at the registry location illustrated. |

| OK. I get it now - it actually works, but throws up this error on installation - for all you other saps that would have wasted time trying to fix this - don't bother. |
