Hi everyone,
Part of our customization requires export to an accounting system. We currently use MYOB but are also looking to move to quickbooks in the next 90 days.
As such, I would like to further explore exporting vTiger data to these types of accounting systems.
I would like to propose this as a project for a bounty, and would like to step up to the plate with the first $200 bucks, but I'm aware that we need to further refine the specs. I'm starting on the first draft this morning (Friday), so please post your suggestions.
Take Care out there. |

| Here's a basic flow document that I've created to outline the high-level processes that would be inovolved. Lots of gaps still at this point, but I wanted to get the general idea across. |

Trevor,
I'd be pleased to add $200 if the output was in the correct format for use with Sage Line 50.

Please provide more information about this.
We have created something for an Indian Bookinp system called Tally.
How it works:
1) Paid and Open invoices are imported into the system either via a manual upload or via a cronjob.
2) The Vtiger accounts have to be matched to the Tally Accounts.
b) There is an automatic script that shows the admin which accounts have not been matched
3) In the account view the sales team can now see how much is outstanding for a particular account. If they click on the amount they see all open invoices.
I have attached two screenshots from a system using this feature.
If this is something you are looking for then we can help. |

i too am interested in this project, but i'd like the specs as a bidirectional sync with the quickbooks rds server. this way info will go both ways: the customer info only needs to be added once in the crm and migrates to quickbooks. likewise, as the payments are downloaded from the payment gateway/bank to quickbooks, this info syncs with the invoices/payments section of vtiger. manually transferring information would be too time consuming for us.
if everyone is on the same page as this, i'll add 300 to the bounty. |

I would gladly throw in $200 for a module that tied in vTiger to Quickbooks. Some way of grabing accounting data from quickbooks for the customer record and sending troubleticket information/invoices to quickbooks as invoices.
Hey, getting the module tying in quickbooks in 90% of the battle...

OK, stop me if this is stupid, but my thought is that maybe this could/should/might work best through OSCommerce somehow.
I am thinking that way, web based orders, Tiger entered orders, and perhaps accounting entered orders would all match up to the client/contact/account.
There is the Sugar/OSC integration project that I think everyone has heard of:
http://www.sugarforge.org/projects/osc-sugar-integ/
There is a Quickbooks contribution for OSC: http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,2847/category,all/search,quickbooks
And a tip on the oscdox forum:
http://oscdox.com/PNphpBB2-viewtopic-t-6114-highlight-quickbooks-sid-244f1fd895ccf4c5d1f8e67512dc88ac.htm
If there is integration with a shopping cart, particularly OSC/Max, then that brings as a bonus the ability to BILL clients, too, which should be useful to many people.
Thoughts?
