|

I upgraded my 5.02 install and it went without a hitch (or so I thought). I have been changing the Quote PDF to my liking. I noticed some changes there. I went to make a new quote and found the following problem.
I have noticed that the Description for the product is severly shortened. How can I get the original back? I might need two lines for a description within my QO, SO, or invoice.
Is there a work around for this?
Thanks |

Hello,
I am glad to know that you have successfully migrated from v5.0.2 to v5.0.3.
Could you please send me your exact Quote PDF requirement so that our team can assist you in fixing your layout?
Regards,
Gopal |

Hi Gopal
Originally the description for the Product in the PDF had quite a large amount of space that could be used. Now after the upgrade it appears to be limited to about 40 characters. I would prefer not to have the limit be so short. Some of my products are an amalgam of many things and I need to verbally describe the "Kit". If there is no simple work around I will adjust. The other problem I have is still the Tax computation. If I have a quote that I can use Group tax on then I get the tax on an individual line. This case (at least for me ) is not the norm. Most of my quotes and subsequent Invoices will need to be individual tax. The issue is that I cannot "bury" the amount of tax into a cost of the item. I need to show that tax amount separately and then include it in the total amount of the quote, Inv, etc. I also at some point need to run a report on the tax I collect so I can turn it into the proper authorities. I had hoped that the tax issue was going to be resolved with 5.03. If it has for others then maybe my migration didn't go so well?
Thank you for all your efforts!

| No reply yet? Without this it means that I need to rewrite about 1000 product descriptions. If you can tell me where to make the change I will do it myself. So far this "Upgrade" isn't that great for me. Sorry |
