Hi evbdy.

I'am using VT successfully but I have problems using TBird extension

Client side config :
- Windows 2000
- Tbird 2.0.0.0
- VT 5.0.3
- Extension 5.0.3

Server side config :
- Linux Gentoo
- Apache 2.2.4-r4
- PHP 5.2.2-r1
- MySQL 5.0.40

Error message :
"Cannot connect to the vtiger CRM server with the given details"

I have no problem accessing the demo using the plugin...

Please help ;)

I'm getting exactly the same error message when trying to set up my vTiger configuration. I'm running Tbird 2.0.0.4 on Mac OS X 10.4.10, with vTiger 5.0.2 and Extension 5.0.3.

Any suggestions? I haven't seen a reply posted along these lines yet and am really keen to get this working! :)

Hi jeremyp ,

Your extension and vtigerCRM version are not the same,So you are facing this issue.

This problem may occur when you access your server when apache is shutdown or when you give wrong user name and password while logging into vtigerCRM with thunderbird plugin.

The same Problem here

"Cannot connect to the vtiger CRM server with the given details"

with all 5.0.3 Extentions and this configuration:

* Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) DAV/2 mod_ssl/2.2.4 OpenSSL/0.9.8e mod_autoindex_color PHP/5.2.2
* Vtiger 5.0.3 + php5.2. patch
* Thunderbird and Firefox Extention

Login to vtiger 5.0.3 works fine - No problems only with Extentions. What happened?

Now I tried all 5.0.3 Extentions. All Extentions doesn't work with my vtiger. Der Weblogin does work fine. But if I try the Exstentions Outlook, Firefox, Word e.g. they can't login :(

The vtiger server is a WAMP(xamp) on a Vista system. This also doesn't work at localhost and via another client in the network. So I don't think there is a firewall problem. The URL is the same as in the webbrowser. User and pw are also the same.

Any ideas?

PS: Sometimes I ask myself why 5.0.3 is final. So many problems with it since weeks :(

I am having this same problem. This is a show stopper for me, so _any_ help would be really appreciated.

vTiger 503 w/ PHP patch, under OS X.
Thunderbird 2 in OS X, w/ vTiger Extension.

The demo login works flawlessly. Anything I try for our vtiger installation gives "Cannot connect to the vtiger CRM server with the given details"

Hi ,

As of now we are not supporting our plugins to work with Window Vista.
We have work around for this.Once we fix the issue we will let you know.

Kindly bear with us in the mean time.

Thanks for the prompt posting, which I assume is a reply to tresk? I'm only using OS X on both the clients and server. I am puzzled that I can use the TBird extension to log into the official demo vtiger installation, but not my own. Any thoughts are welcome!

bharath: They work with Vista, but not with my WAMP. They work fine with your offical demo page. Thats no special Vista problem, I think. But what else?

Sorry, I'm really depressed in getting a Vtiger installation working in LAMP and/or LAMP. Nothing works fine :( And I have no idea whats the problem.

Can you give us more details about the issue and your work around? This single issue is delaying my client's rollout of vtiger to their staff. Any help would be really appreciated.
