I am trying to see if I can use vtiger for salesforce automation and crm for a hotel-resort....
Has anyone attempted to do such a thing before, can it be done? |

I'm also planning on using vtiger for my hotel group. In fact, I'm installing it now and will begin configuring immediately.
I'd like some advice and/or tips from anyone who's done this. |

| You probably need a reservation system to keep track of room and reservation. Therefore, at least an customize reservation module. |

I have a full online reservations system and PMS so that's not the issue. We're quite a large hotel group and I have configured an alternate product for CRM use before. Where I always run into problems is that most (to date the truth is all) CRM systems that I have tried are centered around retail business rather than service oriented business. By this I refer specifically to name schemes rather that functionality as at the end of the day, hotels really are retail in that they sell rooms.
What I'm looking for is a system that can do the following:
1) Regularly import data from our Oracle based PMS and populate fields with it.
2) The fields will be able to be adjusted to suit industry specific names.
3) Track marketing campaigns, whether online or print media etc.
4) Have the facility to provide a customer (guest) feedback form which, once filled out, will be stored under the guest profile.
If anyone has done this before or has any ideas let me know. |
