hello,
in the profiles there is an option to edit the permisiions to create/edit, view or delete for each individual modules.... but the problem is that these setings are module specific and not field specific. it would be help full if i could set the permisions in the profiles field specific...meaning..within a module i could set one field as create/edit and other fields as view only instead of a higher level permissions for each module. currently it is allowed to hide the field directly but that is not the best solution. certain fields are view only and certain fields should be allowed to change for a user.
thanx |

Hi Sagar Vora,
Thanks for your suggestion on the current field level security.
We will definitely consider your suggestion in one of the future releases.
It will be very helpful, if you could let us know the other missing features in the vtiger security model ?
Regards,
Gopal |

One feature that is missing is the ability to change what fields/columns are visable by different users.
For example if a admin views a list of invoices they will see different columns then another user would see.
It would be nice to be able to control this so you could display what you require per user. |
